Manic Monday

"It's just another manic Monday
I wish it were Sunday
'Cause that's my funday
My I don't have to runday
It's just another manic Monday"

Do some weeks feel like you're on autopilot? Just cruisin' along week after week? That's how I felt waking up this morning. That alarm went off at 5:01am and the first thought in my head? "Well...here we go again!" Not that it's always a bad thing... I'm definitely a schedule-kinda-person. Knowing what's ahead keeps me organized and ready for what the week brings! :) This week is jam-packed with afternoon activities and obligations, so I'll probably be getting up eeeaarrly every day this week for AM workouts. Bring.It.On.

This was such a chill weekend. I didn't have too much to do, so it was nice to hang out at home for awhile. Cory had to work pretty much all weekend, so I was flyin' solo (with our love child, of course) for most of the weekend....

"Whatsssssup"

Ridin Dirty

We had fun...but even Anney gives me the side-eye...

"Mom...seriously. Enough with the pictures"

Last week, we had several members of our normal staff on vacation, so work was crazy to say the least! By Friday I needed a drink. A couple of Coronas on our porch next to the love of my life was just what the Dr. ordered! We caught up with each other on the week and hung out most of the night Friday. And of course, watched Dateline.

Saturday morning, per usual, I got up at the crack of dawn to meet my running buddies. I don't know what we were smoking (or maybe the early morning daze just had us confused) but we decided to change up our route to include a hellacious mile long hill. "Oh yeah, great fat burner. It won't be so bad. We can do it!!! Girl power!" ha. My legs are still feeling it. Two days later. As we were approaching the hill, someone said  to count very slowly to 100, twice. By #48 on the first count to 100, images of me curled up on the side of the road in fetal position were all I could think about. I thought about faking an asthma attack. Oh right, I don't have asthma. Sprained ankle? Heat stroke? All great ideas. Somehow I pushed myself up the hill,  although I wouldn't quite call it running. It was something between a shuffle and a haggard jog...glad no one was watching.

After the run, I headed home and cleaned. The end of our lease on our current apartment is coming up and I'm starting to get paranoid about charges when we move out. At our complex, we didn't pay any sort of deposit when we moved in, they just charge you for things when you move out. We received a LONG list of items that could be charged to us after we move out if they aren't "up to par." We took good care of our place but I've been getting a little nervous, as these type of things are so subjective. I can just see us getting a bill for $2,000 because of a tiny hole in the wall or a scuff on the floor... or maybe I'm just OCD...

Saturday afternoon, I had the pleasure of attending my very best friend's bridal shower! It was a blast. It was so great to catch up with Jenna and her fiance, enjoy good food and see her get tons of great wedding gifts. Me and Cory need to get married again so we can get more good presents. I'm a little jealous of all her new kitchen gadgets and appliances. Oh wait, if I had all those, it would mean I would have to cook, right? Nevermind. :)
This is the only pic I have from the shower on my phone, will add other shower pics tonight...promise! :)

Because it's cool to take pictures of yourself

After the shower, my mom and I returned home around 7pm and picked up my hubs from the apartment to join us at her casa.  Earlier in the day, Mom found an adorable itty bitty baby bunny in her yard. She said it couldn't have been bigger than 3 or 4" long so naturally I stalked it's home, waiting to catch a glimse. No  such luck.

Around 10pm I'd fallen asleep on the couch and Cory had to practically drag me to the car. Needless to say, I crashed in my comfy bed as soon as we got home.

Sunday morning, Cory and I got up, cooked breakfast and hung out at home until he had to go to work. Then I got my GTL on. I went to the gym for a quick 1 hr ride on the elliptical while I caught up on The Voice. Then, got my tan on. Yeah, I fake baked. I know, I know it's really bad for you... but I don't want to be mistaken for a Cullen at Jenna's wedding. That would just be rude. After that, I got my laundry on and washed a few loads in between grocery shopping.

Sunday night Cory forced me to watch the NBA Finals game. I guess I wasn't really into it, and passed out on the couch by 9:30pm. Geez, just bring me my dentures and call me Gertrude.

That pretty much wraps up the weekend! This week is full of fun events and a little pampering, so I'm sure it'll fly by! :)

Oh...and just because I can't quit laughing:

Like Father, Like Daughter

Doesn't Anney look like one of the eels from The Little Mermaid? bahahaha
