T Minus 28 hours

Happy Monday!!! :) This is one Monday I'm not afraid to love... wanna know why? Because it brings me one day closer to a 10 DAY VACAY!!! wooo!!! I am literally counting the hours left in the work week (which is 28 is anyone was wondering). I haven't had a vacation longer than 1 or 2 days since our honeymoon last year so it is VERY much needed!

This weekend was awesome, and I'm still smiling just thinking about it (or because I'm runnin' on endorphins and excitement for the coming week). Either way, it was good!

Friday after work, me and that guy that follows me around met his family at our fave Mexican restaurant for some dinner. Page is so cute, and so pregnant! :) I'm getting overly anxious as Reagan's arrival date gets closer- I can only imagine what her and Chad are feeling! I had my normal, seriously ridiculous remix of their Fajita Taco Salad. I basically strip it down to lettuce and chicken (boring, I know). Luckily, me and Page usually get the same thing, so when one of us orders, the other just has to say "I'm having what she's having" in order to seem non-alien-like and to avoid any excess annoyance to the poor waiters (grilled chicken, no cheese, no sour cream, no gauc, without a greasy-please-give-me-a-pimple-fried-bowl...thanks).

After din din, Cory and I spent our whole life savings on movie tickets. Seriously, I need to open a movie theater, those people have got to be richer than Bill Gates. Anyway, we saw The Hangover Part II and laughed our dinner off. We both loved the first one and thought the second was just as funny; definitely one  to see again (at home, of course).

Saturday morning, we got up around 5:45am- Cory for work, me for the race. I hadn't pre-registered so I wanted to get there early to make sure I got a shirt (the best part). Registration was easy peasy-in and out in 2 mins flat. Luckily, 3 of my running buddies showed up a little early too, so we had time to chat and hang out for a while. The race started at 8am on the dot and we were off! I started out way to fast (for me) and knew when my Garmin beeped at mile 1 @ 7:45 that I needed to seriously slow it down.

Hills, hills, hills

I'm not gonna lie. This race was H-A-R-D. There were some serious hills... and I'm not a hill person (unless it's downhill). Combined with the heat and humidity, it was tough. I vowed to put my pace out of my mind and just focus on what I was doing- fast or slow, just finish the best I could. Wanna know how it turned out?

3rd place in my age group!! Woooo hooo!! Actually, and if you don't mind a little bragging, all of us Fort Mill Fast Feet Ladies placed in our age groups!!! :) So proud!

Sweet bathroom pic
After the hellacious run, I came home and showered off the gallon of sweat (yes, Cory, I showered) and then died. Seriously, I was pretty beat...that 95 degree heat got me, so me and Anney chilled for awhile until Dad got home around 1pm.

She did NOT want to get up...
After Cory woke us up, we went by his parents to pick up a few things and ended up with some pretty sweet presents... Cory's dad has his very own orchard in their back yard, and the minute someone mentioned "free peaches" my eyes rolled back in my head and I fainted. No...actually I grabbed a bowl and raced outside.

Bub scopin out the peaches

Me, baffled that you can actually grow something and eat it...

My collection
After I got a sugar rush from eating too many peaches and raspberries, we headed out for some real fun. Meaning, going to grown-up stores and trying to embarrass Cory. When we got to Staples for boring things (like calendars and pencils) I just knew playing on the desk chairs was in my future. I found one really really cool one... Cory couldn't resist...

"Kris, I can't believe you're making me sit here...please don't take a picture"

"Oh wow, this IS fun weeeee!!"
Saturday night, I have no idea what we did...honestly. I'm trying to remember but all I can come up with is that there was a storm... FAIL.

Anyway, Sunday morning we went to church with the whooollleee fam. It was our pastor's last day before retiring and we all wanted to wish him well. After church, we had a nice lunch to celebrate and although it was sad, we're all thankful to have had him so long! The rest of Sunday was pretty boring...a little more GTL'ing (minus the G) and some cooking. Check out the recipe page... I made one helluva pasta salad!! :) Oh yeah, me and Anney also had a sweet photo shoot... check em out. Sports Illustrated material right there...

ANNNDDD....for the best part of this entire novel of a post...
